Trump’s deal to release Israeli hostages ends with ‘all hell to pay’
As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House, the long-awaited Israel-Hamas cease-fire agreement is being implemented – offering hope to the hostages’ families, even if some believe it is a “deal with the devil”.
“Before President Trump was elected (the deal) was stuck,” Ronen Nutra, whose son Omar was killed by Hamas terrorists, told Fox News on Sunday.
Let’s face it, President Trump’s clear message that ‘in my election, I want to see the hostages get out, or there will be hell to pay’ has had a huge impact on the Middle East, and so have we. Under his leadership, we hope to see all 98 hostages released from today, including the three female hostages.
“We know their family, and we’ve been emotionally involved in this and we’re very happy to see them out,” he said.

In a factual social post last year, Trump vowed “all hell to pay” if the remaining Hamas captives were not released. The message offered some hope to some inmates’ families, including one who called the message “the kind of language we’ve lost.”
Ronen and his wife Orna’s son Omer, an IDF tank commander and an American from Long Island, New YorkLong thought to be one of Hamas’s prisoners, he was recently scheduled to be executed by the terrorist group on October 7, 2023.
The parents, who have made clear their demand for the hostages’ safe return, plan to attend Trump’s birthday celebration in Washington, D.C., on Monday.
Ahead of the ceremony, female hostages Doron Steinbrecher, Romi Gonen and Emilie Damari were released in part one of Sunday’s Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal.
Orna Nutra responded to the leak during the “Fox & Friends Weekend” special Sunday broadcast.
“As a family, all of the families that were kidnapped. We’ve been in this crazy situation for 15 months, and we’ve heard a lot about these young women. We’re very close to them. The families, and we’re very, very, very happy and looking forward to meeting them and hopefully rehabilitating them. And to see them move on with their lives,” she said.
More hostage releases are slated to come with part two.

“This is a deal with the devil,” said Ronen Nutra. “These people, terrorists killed 1,200 people in one day – the worst day in Israel’s history since the Holocaust, and they killed 45 Americans in that time, so of course, it’s terrible to see them celebrate now, but you know what we celebrate because we believe in the dignity of death, and the soul. We believe everyone is important and we will bring back all 98 people under President Trump’s leadership.
“We trust him, we know he will do it,” he added. “We know he’s going to push all the allies in the Middle East to make sure the 98 come back — our son among them. We have to get our son a proper burial. He deserves it.”
